Communications Officer

Suitable applicants must be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria: 


  • A third level qualification in a relevant discipline such as journalism, media relations or a business-related subject. 



  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a similar role. 


  • Significant experience of writing press releases, articles and news reports. 
  • Excellent IT/ Computer Literacy skills including a high level of Social Media   competency. 
  • A demonstrable in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Orange Institution’s heritage and culture. 
  • A good working knowledge of national and regional media.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to work flexibly and attend events outside of standard working hours as and when required.  
  • Ability to respond to a range of media enquiries and issues as appropriate 
  • Applicants must have a full, current driving licence which enables them to drive in Northern Ireland and a car available for official business or access to a form of transport which will enable them to meet the requirements of the post in full.
